SPORTS MASSAGE 

Massage therapy offers a way to help people reconnect with their bodies. Massage therapy studies show it can also be a way to help relax from the daily stressors of life, manage your pain, and promote an overall sense of well being. As a neuromuscular massage therapist, myofascial massage therapist and sports massage therapist, I incorporate different styles and techniques to get the best results for you. I actively engage with my clients with intention and purpose by clarifying their goals and checking in with them to make sure we are on the same page.

 

As a sports massage therapist representing multiple different sports leagues, I work with many athletes on their specific needs in order to achieve optimal performance in what they do best.

 

Sports massage can help by reducing factors that interfere with your performance potential, such as muscle spasm, tendonitis and muscle fatigue. Other benefits of sports massage; helps reduce the tight feeling that often develops after exercise, improves muscle tone and helps your recovery time, promotes flexibility, and overall muscle balance. Most importantly sports massage reduces the likelihood of injury by increasing flexibility to tight muscles or tendons that might otherwise tend to tear or pull.

Can include the whole body, geared toward improving physical function. This may focus on specific body regions to address problem areas, reduce the possibility of injury, and to aid in the recovery from minor injuries.
